Introduction

Role Overview

Build immersive, visually compelling real-time environments using modular workflows, strong composition, and optimized assets for game production.

Core Requirements

  •  Strong understanding of environment composition, storytelling, and mood
  •  Ability to create modular environments using reusable asset kits 
  •  Experience assembling scenes directly inside the game engine 
  •  Solid knowledge of architecture, scale, and spatial design 
  •  Ability to translate concept art and reference into final environments 

Technical Skills

  •  Strong knowledge of: 
    • Modular workflows & kit building
    •  Trim sheets, tileable materials, decals 
    •  Vertex painting & blending techniques 
  •  Experience with Unreal Engine 5 (Lumen, Nanite, lighting workflows preferred)
  •  Full pipeline understanding: 
    •  Blockout → asset creation → set dressing → lighting → polish 
  •  Optimization skills: 
    •  Performance budgets 
    •  LODs and draw call reduction 

Production Expectations

  •  Strong blockout and planning skills (foundation of environment workflow) 
  •  Focus on: 
    •  Composition 
    •  Lighting 
    •  Storytelling & atmosphere 
  •  Deliver high-quality final renders and breakdowns
  •  Maintain consistency and cohesion across the scene

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  •  Build environments from blockout to final polish
  •  Perform set dressing and world-building
  •  Collaborate with: 
    •  Level designers 
    •  Lighting artists 
    •  Technical artists 
  •  Ensure environments meet both artistic and gameplay needs

  •  Strong artistic eye and attention to detail 
  •  Problem-solving mindset
  •  Clear communication and feedback handling 
  •  Ability to work under deadlines and production constraints

Expert in 3D Modeling software's Accommodating Tools Game Engines Blender UE5 Substance 3D Painter Zbrush

Strongly Proficient In

Blender, ZBrush, Sculpting,Unreal Engine 5, Hard-surface Texturing, Substance 3D Painter. Environment Art, Modeling and Architecture
